It seems that the upcoming 8th installment of the "Supernatural" season 12 is going to be an exciting one as Lucifer continues his path of destruction. This time, he turns his attention to the most powerful position in the land as he poses as the President of the United States of America as shown in the latest episode teaser for episode 8 titled "Lotus" which is an abbreviation for Lucifer of the United States.
According to a released official synopsis for "Supernatural" season 12 episode 8 by Comicbook, Lucifer's quest for power and influence in a vessel lands him in the White House. The President of the United States (David Chisum) unknowingly makes a deal with the devil, leading Sam ( ared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), Castiel (Misha Collins), Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) and Rowena (Ruth Connell) to fight together against the Dark Lord.
However, with Lucifer admitting in the previous episode that he has no overarching scheme, fans and audiences cannot help but ask, how much more of Lucifer can "Supernatural" still muster? The reason for that is perhaps due to the fact that Lucifer's story arc was suppose to end back on season 5 and yet he is still around seven seasons later. In addition to this, fans believe that Lucifer as a character has already been dragged out perhaps more than it should be, and with the mid-season finally, approaching fans says that Lucifer should be on the wraps for the show to move on to other conflicts such as the mysterious Mr. Ketch.
While this episode is in the works, it has been revealed that the men and women behind the fantasy horror drama and CW almost did a crossover with an earlier DC show "Smallville." As Blastr reports that its storyline would have centered with the Winchester bros. trying to protect Clark Kent from what is known as a "Superman Curse". However, the project did not push through. "Supernatural" airs its midseason finale on Thursday, December 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
