Cleveland Cavaliers News & Update: Teams Blowout Loss Because Of J.R. Smith’s Alter Ego?

Milwaukee Bucks stunned the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-108 in their game last Tuesday. The Cavs shooting guard J.R. Smith messed up.

Apparently, this blunder led to Tony Snell's wide-open easy dunk. He practically drove through the basket without anyone on his path preventing him. It almost seemed like an exhibition game for Snell. J.R. Smith was tasked to guard Snell. But instead went to the sideline and chatted with a Milwaukee Bucks player while the game was still rolling.

The Cleveland Cavalier guard opted to pretend not knowing anything about it. When he was asked in an ESPN interview about that he said, "I was not even paying attention. I don't even remember that." Later on Smith just said that it was his alter ego playing that's why he didn't remember anything of that incident.

Clearly, Smith acted ignorant about that mistake which led the Bucks to 53-50. But the Cleveland Cavaliers' fans should hear what Cavs Coach Tyronn Lue said about the incident in an Uproxx interview, "It was an embarrassing moment. Me and J.R. talked about it. We're just going to move forward. We had a discussion about it, he felt embarrassed about it. It was an embarrassing play. We talked about it."

But in listening to sports analysts, the main cause of that embarrassing blowout loss for the defending champion is the 20 turnovers which is a season-high for them. The Cleveland Cavaliers' turnovers then led to 22 Milwaukee points and resulted to the 68 points in the paint that the Cavs gave up.

This kind of blowout loss apparently made Smith to pretend he has selective amnesia. He also said that But Lebron James advised him to just move on and focused on their games against the Chicago Bulls and LA Clippers which are both tough to beat.
