Xbox One enthusiasts were in for a treat if they happened to be flipping channels to a live broadcast of the recent Tokyo Game Show earlier this week. Maybe they were curious about the latest video games or next-gen consoles, or maybe they just happened to have already seen that particular episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond." In any event, said viewers caught a bit of hilarity when some staffers at the Sony booth when they tried to show how the console's Playroom feature.
All attempts at showcasing the augmented reality experience were met with abysmal failure as the next-gen wonder toy failed to respond. Ultimately, the host attempted to recover, and move things forward by showing the PlayStation App on a tablet. Once again, there was no response from the PlayStation 4. With everything live, editing out the glitch was not an option, so the boothers just had to sweat it out.
You can see the whole thing for yourself below. Even if you don't understand Japanese, it's easy to see what was going on. Or rather, what wasn't.
Since then, Sony's obviously been doing a bit of damage control. When asked about the incident on Twitter, Sony's President of Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida responded that the problem was due to "wireless interference on the show floor," not a problem with hardware. So anyone not trying to play the PlayStation 4 during a trade show or while shooting some kind of high-budget public access show should be jim dandy, if you'll pardon my French.
Under the hood, the PS4 boasts Supercharged PC architecture, X86 CPU, Enhanced PC GPU, 8GB Unified Memory, Local HDD. It will support the same PlayStation Plus service as the Vita and PS3. However, a Plus subscription will be required for online multiplayer games, but not for additional media services like Netflix. Sony has also updated the Dual Shock controllers with a touch screen and improved shoulder triggers.

Day one games available for the system include Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts,Killzone Shadow Fall,Madden NFL 25, Minecraft, NBA 2K14, Watch Dogs,Need for Speed: Rivals, and more.
