"Overwatch" Competitive Play Season 3 has recently been rolled out and as previously reported, some of the game mechanics including rankings have been changed by the game developer Blizzard Entertainment. Although the company has done everything that they can to make the game more exciting, fans are disappointed with some of the new features. Now, with the disappointing placement matches, players are hoping that the game developer can soon improve "Overwatch" Competitive Play Season 3.
Every player will have to start each new season without a rank, and in order for them to get specific ranks, they need to go through placement matches. However, the new "Overwatch" Competitive Play Season 3's placement match does not work the same as the previous seasons.
These new adjustments in the game no longer allow players to get ranked in Gold tier after winning 5 out of 10 placement matches. In "Overwatch" Competitive Play Season 3, players will have to go through a new calculation for them to get the highest rank possible. Apparently, Blizzard believes that the Gold Tier as well as the Platinum Tier is over populated and some of the players who are there are overly ranked.
Although the intention of the company is to provide a more challenging game in "Overwatch" Competitive Play Season 3, many fans are not happy with the changes. According to a report by Techno Buffalo, players no longer see the balance in the game as high ranking gamers during the second season have continued to move up high in the rankings, while the Mid-tier players are having a hard time increasing their rank.
Meanwhile, there are speculations suggesting that because of the backlash it received, Blizzard is currently planning on developing an update that would improve "Overwatch" Competitive Play Season 3. However, this has yet to be confirmed by the company. Stay tuned for more news and updates about "Overwatch" Competitive Play Season 3.
