While we all celebrate the arrival of a brand new FIFA title for the year with newly revamped rosters and team sheets, it seems like the first real FIFA 14 glitch has arrived alongside the new game.
As reported, after the initial release of the demo for FIFA 14 and already facing a barrage of complaints from fans, EA is now considering pushing out gameplay tweaks that will address a number of issues related to overpowered attacking options that fans are finding hard to deal with.
Recently, the FIFA Team took to its official forum for the game where the team acknowledged the problem involved and that it is already taking steps to deal with it before the final version of the game has made its official debut, writing, “Our commitment to improve FIFA 14” the team wrote “is on-going, and regular feedback from our fans helps us prioritize and identify future improvements. We wanted to take this opportunity to address a few more items that we continue to work towards.”
“Firstly, we got some great feedback on gameplay during the demo and early access period, including:
- The effectiveness of headers from corner kicks and crosses.
- The effectiveness of finesse shots.
- The accuracy of lofted through-balls.
We look to update you in the near future with good news on the identified gameplay tweaks.”
The post also states that fans will notice a title update that has been made available by the company upon starting up FIFA 14 for the first time. It's meant to address “stability issues found in the closed beta and minor fixes to a couple game mode (Skill Games, Creation Centre) items." The team is asking gamers to "be sure to restart and download the title update in an active session as this will enhance stability when matching up with other players online who have accepted the update.”
FIFA 14, already out in North America and awaiting a release in Europe on Sept. 27, is set to deliver “engaging online features and live services that connect fans to the heartbeat of the sport — and to each other — through EA SPORTS Football Club,” apart from the single-player format of the game.
