iPhone 6S News & Update: Here's Apple's Solution To Battery Issues

iPhone 6s reportedly had battery issues such as shutting down even with 30 percent of battery life was still shown on the phone. The issue allegedly stems from a bug in the Apple iOS version 10.1 and 10.1.1. On that note, Apple is reportedly offering a battery replacement to the affected users, free of charge.

On that note, Apple also created an iPhone 6s Program for Unexpected Shutdown Issues on its official website. Affected users may plug in the serial number located in Settings>General on the device. In addition, Apple also reassured that the iPhone 6s battery issue was not a safety concern.

Apparently, the iPhone 6s battery issues were only present on devices within a limited serial number range. Note that iPhone 6s made between September to October 2015 may be experiencing the issues. Additionally, the free battery replacement may not be supported by carriers. Apparently, Apple is the only one giving the free battery replacement to those that qualify.

Apparently, there are several other issues surrounding the iPhone 6s. Previously, an overblown iPhone 6s report circulated online. Apart from that, Apple also began offering $149 to repair flickering display or multi-touch "touch disease" issues on the iPhone 6 Plus, PC World reported.

In other news, Nexus reportedly rolled out its flagship product about the same time as the iPhone 6s. In light of that, both the iPhone 6s and the Nexus 6P are reportedly going head to head in the market. Note that the latter sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU, 8MP selfie camera and 3,450 battery, Knowyourmobile reported.

iPhone 6s however packs 1,715mAh battery, 5MP camera and an A9 chip. The iPhone 6s came with the 3D touch technology and a new display that may sense hard or soft presses then follows up with different commands. The iPhone 6s also packed tweaks to the processor and camera as Apple added 4K video support on the handset. Watch the Full Comparison here:
