Android 7.0 Nougat is slated to arrive on a number of Huawei devices in the early months of 2017. Huawei is expected to deliver the version 5.0 EMUI on Huawei Mate 8 and Nova Plus devices, among others. In addition, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T devices are also rolling out with the OxygenOS version of the Android 7.0 Nougat.
It has been noted that Huawei has already planned how to deliver the Android 7.0 Nougat on six of its handsets. The OS update is expected to arrive with the custom Android UI EMUI version 5.0 Huawei is believed to push the Android 7.0 Nougat OS update in the first quarter of 2017, according to report.
Note that the Huawei Mate 8 and the P9 handsets may be the first two handsets to get the Android 7.0 Nougat. Furthermore, the Huawei Nova, Nova Plus, P9 Plus and P9 lite are also expected to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat. However, several Huawei P9 users have reportedly updated their handsets to a beta build of the Android 7.0 Nougat.
Moreover, the Q1 release of the Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to fix several bugs that have been discovered during the beta testing period. Additionally, Huawei also opted for the fifth version of the proprietary Android skin which is said to be more secure, efficient and user-friendly.
In other news, the Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to roll out on the OnePlus 3 and 3T devices this month. The OS update reportedly features a completely redesigned notification are, inline reply support and split-screen multi-window, Android Central reported. Pixel-like updated interface features have reportedly been seen on the OnePlus handsets as well.
Android 7.0 Nougat also packs a new double-tap shortcut for easy switching between apps. Previously, OnePlus worked with the OxygenOS 3.6 to prepare for the OS update.
