OnePlus 3 recently got a new OS update in the form of the Android 7.0 Nougat Beta. The beta features reportedly include split screen multitasking and direct reply, among others. The One Plus 3T is also slated to get the beta via OxygenOS but the predecessor may be getting it first.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer previously announced that the Android 7.0 Nougat beta build will hit the OnePlus 3 by the end of November. Moreover, the Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to officially release in December. The OnePlus 3 handset owners reportedly got the OxygenOS Open Beta 8, according to report.
The OnePlus 3 reportedly rolled out with the newly designed notifications and Settings menu with the standard Nougat. OnePlus further loaded the Nougat build with OxygenOS-specific changes. Additionally, new status bar icon options were added including a quick launch feature for third-party apps and the customization for the Shelf feature.
Apparently, OnePlus 3 users may need to downgrade to a Marshmallow OS after the Nougat is installed. Furthermore, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T owners may be getting the official update in December. It should be noted that currently, the update is still associated with several bugs and issues.
In other news, the OnePlus 4 is also believed to be released in the first two quarters of 2017. Currently, the OnePlus 3T was also launched in India with a single aluminum alloy block and a slightly curved body with refined edges. The OnePlus 3T is also said to look similar to the OnePlus 3 device, Indian Express reported.
OnePlus 3 came with sapphire glass to protect the camera lens like in the OnePlus 3T. Furthermore, the latter also comes with a 16MP shooter. However, just like the OnePlus 3, the successor also rolled out without a microSD card support. Watch the OxygenOS update here:
