"Designated Survivor" Season 1 has continued to unravel thrills and frills of the American political drama through ABC's 22 full episode instalment. However, its ratings charted a 50% downslide from a hot 10 million on its debut to a freezing 5.454 in Nov. 30. With the fall, looming questions arise on who's going to ensure Kiefer Sutherland, Maggie Q and the rest of the stars' re-appearance for season 2.
In a report from Gamenguide, "Designated Survivor" Season 1 has two episodes left before the winter break and there are only 12 remaining for 2017. However, until now there is no hint yet from the producers for the second instalment of the show. The veteran actor Kiefer Sutherland is expectant for the staying power of the role his playing as Tom Kirkman and that of the rests of the stars.
"Designated Survivor" Season 1 will unveil another twist on Episode 9 titled "The Blueprint" on Wednesday, December 7 as reported by Spoilertv. Kirkman will launch an intensive search for the sneaky people who leaked classified government documents online. Although the culprits identity will be revealed, but they have escaped and taken refuge in a foreign embassy that Kirkman could not touched.
Meanwhile, in another angle of the story, Macleash's ascendancy to the Vice presidency prompts Agent Hanna Wells to collect evidence that would nail his participation in the conspiracy. "Designated Survivor" Season 1 will bring in Virginia Madsen to play the character of Kimble Hookstraten and the script for her role is written by Dana Miller and Russel Gunn.
Regarding "Designated Survivor" Season 2's future, this still remains to be seen. Ratings are usually the best indicator of any show's renewal or cancellation. The higher the rating will be, particularly in the 18-49 demo chart, the greater is the potential for pickup by the network. To the followers of President Kirkman, stay tuned at Gamenguide for more updates.
