A new "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" patch recently launched, proving several fixes, optimizations and platform-specific changes. The new "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" update apparently focused more on addressing issues and improving overall gameplay, instead of new content.
Map Exploits, Weapon Adjustments and Point Changes in 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare'
IGN revealed that 12 map exploits have been blocked by the new "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" patch. Fixes to the incorrect win/loss awards in exceptional situations, bugs when playing splitscreen and spawning without a loadout in custom matches.
The P-Law launcher was buffed and can currently one-shot UAvs and counter-UAVs. Infected was updated so Survivors earn more score/XP on kills. All infected players will also get an assist point when a survival is killed.
The new "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" update also fixed certain issues in Zombies in Spaceland. It provided a balance change for the Headcutter damage exploit against Alien.
Platform-specific changes were also introduced by the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" update. Xbox One players will discover that the Private Parties bugs and crashes due to audio were removed.
PC players will find mouse support being added to the lobby member slide feature. The bug that triggers stuttering among players using special characters in their usernames have also been addressed.
Zombies in Spaceland, MLG.tv Support and CODCaster/CWL Changes
GameSpot stated that the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" patch provided support for MLG.tv. CODCaster/CWL adjustments were also made. This includes a fix to third person spectator showing zoomed in winner's circle, menus in CODCaster while playing in splitscreen, and a bug where CODCaster Team Settings changes would reflect in the last game's match summary.
The ricochet tracers for energy weapons in CWL were removed, payload rate were adjusted and score modifiers for each mode to balance Payload would earn rates from score actions. As for Zombies in Spaceland, the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" update provided a potential Luitween Error fix.
This particularly entails an adjustment to pause menu visuals while on splitscreen and additional work to ascertain that AFK players do not stay in the game and proceed to matchmaking. More updates and details on the new "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" patch are expected soon.
