The next Mass Effect title from Bioware is back in news. Executive Producer Casey Hudson has revealed that the next Mass Effect is already in development and that the team has already taken its first steps into the game’s new world.
Hudson recently took to Twitter where he talked about the development team at Bioware taking its “first steps” into the game and “looking around” in the new world. The information was revealed after Hudson was found tweeting back and forth with Michael Gamble, Producer on the Mass Effect franchise.
“What’s even more fun than working on the design of a new fictional world? Taking our first steps into it and looking around,” Hudson wrote on his page.
Later, while congratulating his team for their on-going work for the new game, Husdon added: “In a milestone review for next Mass Effect game. Team is doing outstanding work. Looks beautiful, fun, ambitious, and Mass Effect-y!”
It has been some time since we last heard about anything related to the next Mass Effect. Back in July, it was revealed that the next Mass Effect will be friendly to both newbies and seasoned fans, and feature better animations and graphics to show off.
Even the dedicated social forums in the past have highlighted the game and revealed some details, the truth of which will only be judged when the game is made final. Back in May, community coordinator Chris Priestly revealed that the next Mass Effect title is being developed by a new team at Montreal studio.
“The next Mass Effect game is being developed at our Montreal studio (with support from Edmonton) and has a new team of mostly Montreal staff. The core ME team is now working on a new IP (and helps Montreal if they need it),” he wrote.
“When DA3 is done, much of the DA3 team will move on to the next Mass Effect game or the new IP depending on where they are needed. That is kind of how we do things here at BioWare.”
