More good news for Infamous: Second Son. According to reports, developer Sucker Punch Productions has released some new information related to the details of what gamers can look forward to if they decide to pre-order Infamous: Second Son, as far extra bonuses are concerned.
The company, as reported via the official PlayStation Blog, states that players who pre-order the title are entitled to receive four exclusive in-game vests for main character Delsin Rowe. These vests have been designed by Penny Arcade, iam8bit, Exist 1981, and Jos.
“Sony’s unveiling of Infamous Second Son pre-order bonuses didn’t include references to fancy retailer-exclusive weapons or multiplayer maps, nor did it include mention of any specific skills or abilities based on where you buy the game. Instead, the bonuses are exclusive vests for your hero,” Daily Game states, talking about the new pre-order bonuses.
Infamous: Second Son is set seven years after the good ending of Infamous 2. The gameplay for the title will be similar to the previous Infamous games in the series – including the presence of open world elements, as well as its third person shooter design. The game will see a bigger and more detailed living world. The game has used the PlayStation 4 hardware to offer realistic city-building and touch-based controls.
Recently in an interview with Polygon at this year’s Gamescom, director Nate Fox stated: “Because we live there, we can make it extremely real, it feels like a place that exists. With the PS4, we can bring in a lot of detail, and textures and lighting effects that you totally buy. On top of that, you add the super powers, and you believe more that it could happen."
As far as a setting for the game is concerned, taking cue from Empire City in the original Infamous and New Marais in Infamous 2 (modeled after New York and New Orleans, respectively), Fox stated that this time around, there will be no fictional name for the setting of the game.
"Oh, yeah, we're calling it Seattle," Fox said. "It's got the space needle in it! We made New Marais and it was certainly largely inspired by New Orleans. When we decided to put the new game in Seattle, we just wanted to call it like it is, which is Seattle."
Infamous: Second Son will hit PlayStation 4 in February 2014.
