Republic Wireless has just announced its spin out from its parent company Bandwidth. Now new reports are claiming that Republic Wireless indicated that it's now on its own separate company. Bandwidth, parent company of Republic Wireless, has given a major investment to the latter. In fact, the company received a $30 million capital investment.
The Republic Wireless further explained that, "there will be no changes to any of the day-to-day operations or contracts, other than assigning Terms and Conditions to Republic Wireless ",which were previously with the legal entity of Bandwidth, effective as of the date of this posting. Hence, significant changes will never happen to the service or business model.
As some may recall, Republic Wireless, is an American mobile virtual network operator that sells low cost mobile phone service. "It sends most of its voice, text and data traffic over Wi-Fi hot spots. When Wi-Fi isn't available, Republic taps into the network of a national wireless carrier, such as Sprint Corp. or T-Mobile US Inc, "WSJ added.
Moreover, as part of the gratitude expressed by the Republic Wireless for its loyal customers for the last five years, it launching it two special offers that will be available this December. It is "offering the Moto Z Play for $349 between December 7th and 12th, and the Huawei Ascend 5W for $129 between December 13th and 19th , " The Verge reports.
Not only that, both handsets will be available with a contract-free six months of free service with unlimited calls and texts, and 1GB of data. This is a good start for the company.
