Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Chloe’s (Lauren German) meeting in the “Lucifer” Season 2 midseason finale may not have been accidental after all. When the series returns after its hiatus, how Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) will be using this revelation as a way to bring her sons back home with her remains to be seen.
"Lucifer" Season 2 spoilers indicate that the celestial matriarch will not waste a second more in telling everyone involved about how Chloe’s miraculous birth happened. In the promo for the show’s first episode back, Charlotte’s eldest son, Amenadiel (DB Woodside), is seen questioning their reasons for manipulating his brother and Chloe towards each other. He also wonders if their actions are in the same self-serving manner his father did when he used Amenadiel to bless Chloe’s parents with a baby for Lucifer’s sake.
God’s reasons for ordering Chloe to be born will hopefully be answered in “Lucifer” Season 2. According to spoilers, it may have something to do with Lucifer being vulnerable to earthly weapons when Chloe is near. Still, more questions remain such as how an intimate relationship with each other can hurt either or both of them or why Charlotte said that Chloe is their key to returning home.
“Lucifer” Season 2 spoilers also reveal that Dan (Kevin Alejandro), the reformed detective, will be dealing with the emotional aftermath of his actions. Handing over Deputy Warden Smith (Alex Fernandez) to the Russian mafia or his working with the bounty hunter Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) may have something to do with what Dan will go through in the second half of the season.
One of the things to look out for when “Lucifer” Season 2 returns is if Maze and Amenadiel will ever make up after taking opposing sides in the Charlotte and Lucifer conflict. Episode 11 titled “Stewardess Interruptus” will air on January 16 next year on FOX.
