"Sons of Anarchy Spinoff Mayans MC" Air Date, News & Update: Pilot Ordered, Stars Emilio Rivera, Sutter Directing, Filming In March

"Sons of Anarchy Spinoff Mayans MC", is officially in full throttle for motorcycles' roaring return next year and filming is scheduled to start in March. The spinoff was ordered by FX for a pilot with Emilio Rivera to reprise his role as Marcus Alvarez, the Mayans' gang president. Directing the new series is Kurt Sutter who is also co-writing with Elgin James.

According to TVLine, "Sons of Anarchy Spinoff "Mayans MC", which had been in the air waves since 2008 to 2014 created an uproarious clamour from its fans. The story arc will continue to chronicle the challenges and difficulties faced by EZ Reyes as he works out revenge on the cartel to gain respect from those around him, including the women in his life. The timeline of the spinoff takes off after the death of Jax Teller in the finale of season 7 way back in 2014.

"Sons of Anarchy Spinoff Mayans MC" is set in the arena of the Mayans' bike riders' road network with the California/Mexico border as the perfect background. Flashback on the original show of Sons of Anarchy (SOA), the Mayans was characterized as the gang that can be trusted at times and enemies sometimes of the SOA as reported by Variety.

The pilot of the series of "Sons of Anarchy Spinoff Mayan MC" will be produced for Fox 21 TV Studios and FX Productions. Production and filming of the  pilot is targeted to start in March 2017 to be shoot in Los Angeles. It can be recalled Stutter and James were given the pilot order by FX sometime in May this year.
