Blizzard Entertainment, alongside Battle.Net, gave upgrades to Symmetra, a character in their newly-developed game called Overwatch. The game is still being modified as it was just released officially this year.
Overwatch Beta was released last year (2015) for specific gamers and testers to try out. There are good reviews about the game from the Beta Testers and those interested in the game were awaiting their release. The Beta Testers even rated the characters (otherwise known as heroes) via a three-star difficulty range. Symmetra, one of the complex characters, is rated 2 stars. But the difficulty rating only increased the demand. Gamers were piling up to buy the game installer and play with other gamers.
Battle.net, the same platform used for DoTA 2, is now covering Overwatch. Unlike DoTA 2 which is layed from a Thid Person Perspective, Overwatch is a First-Person Shooter (FPS) game where you will be playing behind the eyes of the hero. The players also do not have weapons to upgrade or to buy from the shops and are left to rely on their skill set.
However, the similarities of DoTA 2 would be the team division and the head-on battle towards a certain objective. Each hero holds a different skill set that have advantages and disadvantages that need to be compensated by other team members. There are tanks (Reinhardt, Roadhog, D.Va, Winston, and Zarya), offensive (McCree, Pharah, Genji, Reaper, Sombra, Tracer, and Soldier:76), Defense (Bastion, Junkrat, Widowmaker, Hanzo, Mei, and Torbjörn), and the support (Symmetra, Ana, Mercy, Lucio, and Zenyatta).
Since this is still in the birthing part of the game, the developers are paying close attention to the comments of the gamers. One particular character that needed rebooting and modification is Symmetra. Although Symmetra is a Support Hero (character that assists the offensive hero in battle), she is still of good help. Her skill set, if played correctly, can give the team a good boost in gameplay and in winning.
The newest updates focused more on her development than in any character there is. Overwatch made her defenses (shields and barriers) higher and her damage stronger. This move can now balance the heroes so that the player will not struggle with constant respawns. This is just the start as there are still upcoming updates to make the game better and the players enjoy more.
Overwatch is played online but it is NOT free. Perhaps the money spent will be funded for game developing like the case of Symmetra. Whatever the reason, it is well worth your money.
