Apparently, word on the street suggest that while the Titan X is indeed more powerful, the GTX 1080 Ti will not be lagging that far behind, performance-wise. Apparently, the upcoming iNvidia GTX 1080 Ti does not trail behind in terms of specs when compared to the ultra-powerful GTX Titan X. For instance, the two GPUs offer pretty much the same specs in a lot of aspects such as their standard memory config (12 GB DDR5X), memory speed (10 Gbps), memory interface (384-bit) as well as in memory bandwidth (480 Gbps) in a comparison made by Wccftech.
But of course there are a few areas where the higher-priced GTX Titan X outshines the upcoming GTX 1080 Ti. For instance, Titan X has 3,584 CUDA cores compared to GTX 1080 Ti's 3,328. In addition, Titan X's base and boost clock is lower at 1,417 and 1,530 respectively compared to GTX 1080 Ti's 1,503 and 1,623. At 11 teraflops, Titan X is also ahead compared with GTX 1080 Ti's 10.8 TFLOPS.

Many would argue that though while the Titan X has its computing speed advantages, it might not be felt or noticed by most gamers. However, numerous speculations place it between the prices of the Titan X and the GeForce 1080. Since the Titan X currently goes for around $1,200, most estimates place the GTX 1080 Ti price in the $1,000 vicinity.
