Game changes are equally scary and important for players. Updates that fix bugs, provide additional gears, events and rewards are things that players always look forward to when it comes to game changes. With that, "League of Legends" will soon undergo changes before the year 2017 comes.
There will be a lot of changes happening in "League of Legends" and these are currently in the works now. Game design lead Greg Street gave a breakdown of these changes that include competitive implications or new jungle plants and the return of solo queue.
Interactive Plants
Probably one of the biggest changes in "League of Legends" is the interactive plants. These plants will either heal players or blast them over walls when hit. They will spawn and respawn in jungles in order to increase more adaptation between individual fights. "We didn't want them to be huge game changers or anything," Street said. "It's not like a new Dragon or Baron pit - but if there are little things we can do so that when you go up into the brush and there's a jungler there, you can have some sort of interaction."
New Assassins
A new character in the game always brings excitement. The idea that you can try new abilities, new gears and new ways to level up is stimulating. New assassins are also among the few changes that will happen to "League of Legends" in order to make 1 vs. 1 duel more interesting. Aside from giving assassin's enemies an allowable time to escape is also adding two distinct categories of stealth - invisibility and camouflage.
Return of Solo Queue and the Long-awaited Practice Mode
For the benefit of all, solo queue is where you can wait in line for matchmaking by yourself with a guarantee not to be matched against a pre-made group. This is one of the most requested features by the community and Riot decided to heed its call.
Another change "League of Legends" is bringing is the practice mode. This is intended for newer players, although seasoned players can use it as well. Many of these changes are already partially present in "League of Legends" recent patches like 6.22 and 6.23, but some are still waiting to be included in 2017.
