Netflix' latest hit just got confirmed for a "Grace & Frankie" season 3. And despite the two stars, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, getting up there in age, the two are reportedly seeking to tell the network that they want more seasons stuffed in a year.
According to Indie Wire, despite dealing with a 16 hour a day shoot schedule, Fonda and Tomlin are seeking to push themselves some more. The two "Grace & Frankie" Season 3 stars reportedly told the Netflix president about the possibility of more than one season per year. This is what Tomlin had to say when asked about it in the interview, "Considering our age, I think we should convince Ted to do two seasons a year. I love that that was a release in the press, they said: Grace and Frankie' has been renewed for a second season." And then shortly after they renewed it for a third and they said, "Considering the leads' age..." They felt like it was expedient!"
With the star power of the two Hollywood heavyweights plus the overwhelming positive feedback of the series makes it a no brainer to go beyond "Grace & Frankie" Season 3. But what fans are also interested to know is what they should expect by the time season 3 rolls around. According to an interview with Deadline, Martha Kaufmann states that one of the things that the show will start tackling is "the vulnerability of being a certain age."
Moreover, it is designed to make fans think about the struggles and fears of having to deal with issues of health and old age but of course, in the style that only "Grace & Frankie" could concoct. The "Grace & Frankie" Season 3 is going to be available on Netflix in May of next year.
