Fans of the zombie drama "The Walking Dead" just can't get enough of the series. Now that the showrunner Scott Gimple hinted that "The Walking Dead Movie" is definitely going to happen, the rumor mills are starting to toil and overwhelm the social media about the AMC series.
"The Walking Dead", the biggest show of AMC which averages 12 million viewers week after week, is currently on its Season 7 focusing on Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) making Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his team's lives a living hell. With Season 8 currently underway and already set for 2017 and with a still-in-print comic book which has already laid the groundwork for what would be Season 11, it isn't showing any signs of ending soon.
Definitely, all good things come to an end eventually but like most television show franchises, it may look at a movie expansion for further hits. With the knowledge that Marvel Cinematic Universe usually works on movies after working on successful television and animation series, the showrunner Gimple believes as much will be the case for the renowned AMC series, "The Walking Dead."
"That question comes up every now and again," Gimple revealed when ComicBook.com asked whether or not the "The Walking Dead" could become a movie. "I'm sure one way or another, one day, it'll happen. I think it would be cool." He added.
It will be quite some time before "The Walking Dead" would ever make its way to the big screen. In the meantime, fans can follow Negan killing everyone off in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 while the show runners mull about "The Walking Dead" movie.
