Warner Bros.’ upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins is set to be one of the highlight games of 2013, and with each passing day, the new Batman game is gaining momentum with new revealed gameplay details and features. Now, new reports confirm that the new game will be the first Batman title to feature the famous Batcave.
The company has released a host screenshots from Batman: Arkham Origins that offers fans the first look at the Batcave which serves as a primary location. According to GamesTM magazine, the Batcave will feature the waterfall that hides the mouth of the cave, with a number of familiar vehicles, along with metallic walkways that will lead to numerous bonus costumes that players can change into between missions.
There are references to other in-game characters in the universe. For example, there are newspaper clippings of the Red Hood. Moreover, the Challenge Maps are no longer present in a separate mode and players will be able to access them from the Cave itself. Apart from this, players will also be able to practice other abilities and upgrade equipment. Check out the video below.
Additionally, Warner Bros. has confirmed that Batman: Arkham Origins will not release on Xbox One or PlayStation 4. The idea of Bats heading into the next generation was ruled out by senior producer Ben Mattes on Twitter while answering queries about the game.
"I can 100 per cent confirm that Arkham Origins will only ship on the announced platforms. It is not coming to PS4 or Xbox One," the post reads.
Batman: Arkham Origins, according to its official page, “features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.”
“Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.”
Batman: Arkham Origins is currently schedules to release worldwide on Oct. 25 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC.
