If you're updated about "Rogue One", you'll know that one classic villain is returning to the scene and that is no other than the hated, and loved at the same time, Darth Vader. But he's not alone in this movie, in fact, another classic villain sets his foot in the movie of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."
Grand Moff Tarkin in "Rogue One" Teaser?
A teaser has been released which captured someone's head, someone very familiar and although there's no confirmation yet, it might be the head of Grand Moff Tarkin. In the teaser, an Imperial officer supervising the Death Star's construction was seen and while it can be anybody other than Grand Moff Tarkin himself, the conformity is too obvious. The role was originally given to the deceased star, Peter Cushing, but since he's already gone, it's clearly not him.
Adding to the speculation are the rumors about resurrecting his character through CGI effect. However, nobody knows how often we will see the Grand Moff in "Rogue One" nor if he's really going to be a part. But whatever the answer is, it only shows that his character has a significant part in the overall plot of the story.
CGI Effect: An Impressive Take On Recreating
CGI effect or computer-generated imagery is used mostly for scenes which need the special effect. Cartoons or other animated films use this most of the time while other movies that use real people can also take advantage of this development. It can "de-age" actors in films but usually, it needs the original actor to make the effect. In any case that this will be used to recreate Grand Moff, it needs to be recreated from head to toe, unless they'll be using a certain actor as the "base." Whatever the option is, it will just prove how development took place in the movie industry and that it can open doors to countless possibilities.
