After several months of teasing consumers, Google has finally releases its new Android version 7.0, usually called as Android Nougat. It was released last August 22.
Moto Z and Moto Z Force Edition have already been reportedly starting to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update. But many users hasn't updated its smartphone as the software is not available for all. One of which is the Moto G4 model. Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus -- have been left out, upsetting their owners.
The Reason On Why Owners Got Disappointed
IB Times explained that, "it was the Lenovo-owned company that confirmed in a blog post that it would release Android 7.0 Nougat update to Moto Z and Moto G (4th Gen) devices in the fourth quarter of this year. " It gave the feeling that the smatphones would receive the new firmware at about the same time, but that was not to be.
It was even speculated that Moto G4 Models had already got it (over-the-air) much before the Moto Z devices received the update but it turned out to be false. Motorola even clarified that it had not seeded the firmware to its devices.
Moto G4 Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 Play Next In Line To Receive Android Nougat
Though according to Moto G3, "most of the Motorola's 2014 devices will not get the Android Nougat update." There are tons of reasons behind this, one of these is hardware limitation!
But next in line for the new firmware update could be the Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 Play, and it should happen before the end of December. December hasn't yet to start so there could be a possibility that sometime soon Android Nougat will be available to Moto G4 Models. Let's wait and don't forget to stay tuned.
