On episode 8th of "Timeless" science fiction TV series, Garcia Flynn did a time travel with his team to July 20, 1969 and killed a man named Wayne Ellis to steal his ID badge. Entitled "Space Race," the show went back to the day when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon to disrupt mankind's outer space achievement.
On July 20, 1969, Lucy Preston, Wyatt Logan and Rufus Carlin were heading towards Houston, Texas. Flynn and Anthony Bruhl on the other hand, are in the present time talking to Ellis to obtain information about Ellis' efforts on July 20, 1969.
Flynn asked Ellis whether he still has his badge ID, but only got laughter for a reply. Flynn then went back to the past before Armstrong landed on the moon and arrived on Ellis' home. After killing Ellis, Flynn stole his ID and created a new one for him based on the stolen ID. Another man was killed, a plumber, whose identity was assumed by Flynn's henchman.
Meanwhile, the trio was getting ready for their mission. The three were given badges for them to get entry into the headquarters of NASA. Rufus assumed the position of a janitor, while Lucy was consigned to secretarial pool and Wyatt was a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent.
Clad in a plumber's uniform, Flynn arrived at Lockman Aerospace building which is connected to NASA. The trio reached NASA to stop whatever disastrous plan Flynn and Anthony have in mind. Anthony, for his part, began with his evil plan on the computer system by infecting it with a virus.
The trio soon realized that Neil Armstrong and his companion Buzz Aldrin would soon drain their oxygen supply as they were stuck and without any contact from NASA. The team was confronted with a deadline: to destroy the virus on the computer system.
