It is common knowledge that Samsung and Apple will unveil two of the most amazing devices next year. The S8 is expected to be in the market sometime early March, while the iPhone 8 in mid-September. Numerous reports reveal there is another key Samsung Galaxy S8 feature that has never been seen before on iPhone 8.

Both the iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8 are going to highlight brand new designs, as Apple and Samsung are featuring all-glass devices that are thought to support similar features. For the first time, both the new iPhone and Galaxy S models will come with OLED screens that incorporate fingerprint scanners and other sensors. Curved screens are purportedly in the works for these two tech giants' devices, and so are dual-lens rear camera, PC Pro reports.

Demand For High-Quality Selfie Cameras Has Significantly Increased

A new report says the new Galaxy S8 model is going to have a much better front-facing camera with a feature that has never been seen before on an iPhone. Additionally, "People are beginning to take more selfies and number of demands for cameras that take selfies with higher qualities is increasing," an unidentified representative for the industry said. Samsung is therefore rumored to add autofocus to the camera to set apart its flagship phone from rivals.

Automatic Focus Function To Set Samsung Apart From Its Competitor Apple

According to ET News, Samsung Electronics is planning to introduce automatic focus (AF) function for a front-camera of its next strategic phone Galaxy S8 in order to increase the quality of 'selfie pictures'. As the company is planning to present this function, it is predicted that new competitions for new camera technologies followed by rivalries for pixels and qualities will become heated while front camera module industries will benefit from increased demands for high-quality AF smartphones. Nevertheless, It is not yet clear at this time if the FaceTime camera in the upcoming iPhone 8 will have autofocus or not. Existing and past FaceTime camera versions do not have autofocus.
