Yusuke Murata's "One Punch Man" is returning for a second season on television but Saitama may be faced with numerous perils in the upcoming installment. Recent reports suggest that a group of monsters will infiltrate his world.
According to the reports, "One Punch Man" season 2 will feature the attack on the "OPM" world, spearheaded by the Monster Association's leader, Psykos. There are not too many details officially released about the Hero Association's greatest enemies but the monster group has had connections with Garou in the past.
Psykos, on the other hand, is known to be beautiful woman who sports aqua-blue hair and green eyes. She was the former Blizzard Group vice president and is currently the head of the Monster Association. If Psykos and her Monster Association will clash with Saitama in "One Punch Man" season 2, fans can expect a lot of action-packed scenes in the upcoming installment.
There are also speculations that members of the Monster Association have immense disaster levels that could pit them against the Hero Association's S-Class heroes. This also means that heroes in the lower class are said to be helpless against Psykos' team but with Saitama's help, things could be neutralized. This would make for an epic face-off in "One Punch Man" season 2.
Saitama may also have to face not just battles against his enemies but a dispute against himself. A previous report by Game N Guide suggests that "One Punch Man" season 2 may bring in a new Saitama to the small screens. The notorious hero who defeated Lord Boros in the previous season will reportedly come back with a personality disorder which will see him in a battle against his mind. If this scenario takes place in the upcoming installment, Saitama may have to go through the greatest battle yet that he should conquer victoriously.
Meanwhile, Anime News Network reports that Murata's hit manga now has 11,110,000 copies in print. This is another milestone in the franchise's record-breaking timeline. "One Punch Man" has been nominated in the 2014 Manga Taisho Awards and continues to be a hit among readers and anime viewers.
A 12th compilation will be published in Japan by Shueisha on December 2 and this could further heighten the excitement for "One Punch Man." It could also up the hype for the anime's upcoming season.
There is no specific release date for "One Punch Man" season 2 yet. However, fans are looking forward to a 2017 launch.
