The past five years have catered us a lot of huge blockbusters like Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel", Yeton Reed's "Ant-man" and of course, James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy". However, none of those were even close to the success of Avatar by James Cameron.
The movie was released last Dec. 2009 but until now, the record of being the highest-grossing movie of all time is still theirs. Earning over $2.78 billion dollars worldwide, fans, without a doubt, are anticipating for sequels and although the creators took a lot of time, they have shared some of the things that fans should watch out for.
"Avatar 2's" Rating
The first "Avatar" received a PG-13 rating which allowed more viewers from different ages worldwide and while there's still no confirmation as to whether the second one will have the same rating as well, there's a higher chance for them to stick with that rating.
Release Date
Originally, the plan is to release it in Dec. 2018 however, due to some delays and their plan to film all the other sequels, it seems like the schedule will not be filmed on its proposed date.
Same Director
After receiving such warm welcome from the fans and not to mention, the number of earnings received, there's no chance for Mr. James Cameron to just hand the movie to someone. Therefore, it will still have the same director, James Cameron.
Apart from the director, another person who will still be part of the movie is the main character, Sam Worthington. Worthington, playing Na'vi, is together with his alien lady, Neytiri or Zoe Saldana in real life. However, although she has a main role, there's no assurance that she will play a major part because of the other commitments she has.
The Return of Colonel Miles Quaritch
Although the last movie made the two arrows buried in Stephen Lang's Colonel Miles Quaritch's chest, it seemed like the villain had found his way back to the movie. Well, that sounds exciting!
