There were a number of interesting concepts in the gameplay video, such as the main protagonist turning into a coffee cup to fit through a small window and the use of fire to destroy enemies. More unique ideas are expected to be seen in the new "Prey" gameplay trailer in December.
VG247 stated that the "Prey" plot will be set in andifferent timeline featuring the highly successful U.S. space program. The main protagonist, Morgan Yu, may be male or female.
The story will also involve TranStar Corporation and the potential threat, being a reboot, although "Prey" fans should not expect too many links to Human Head Studios' previous work. The original "Prey" is a 2006 first-person shooter developed by Human Head Studios and published by 2K Games. The original story focused on Cherokee Domasi "Tommy" Tawodi, his girlfriend and grandfather, who were abducted by an alien spaceship.
Players explore unique environments as Tommy's past allows his spirit to roam free and give him an opportunity to stop the looming threat to Earth.
