A backpack that's loaded with a powerful CPU and GPU has now made it to the tech marketplace in the form of the upgraded Zotac VR GO. This piece of sophisticated machinery allows you to take on in virtual reality sessions minus the hassle caused by wires, since they can run from a headset to a PC while latched to your back.
Zotac VR GO Specs
The Zotac VR GO features a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card and Intel Core i7-6700T series processor clocked at 2.8GHz with a 3.6GHz turbo frequency. The graphics module gives the VR GO plenty of GPU horsepower to provide top-end VR performance, according to Zotac's official website.
Zotac VR GO's other specs include 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 240GB M.2 solid state drive. The memory is expandable up to 32GB, however, and an additional 2.5" drive bay is available as well.
The Zotac VR GO allows support for up to four external displays; has two DisplayPort 1.3 ports and three HDMI 2.0 ports. Although primarily designed for use with a VR headset such as HTC Vive or the Oculus Rift, one could set it up to be used as a desktop gaming system when the device isn't worn as a backpack.

"When designing the VR GO, we were keen on emphasizing the user experience," said Zotac International's Jacky Huang. "We want the users to truly immerse in virtual reality and free their mind from limitations such as cables, power, and discomfort," the director added via Forbes.
Although Zotac did not pioneer the gaming PC backpack design, the specs encased in the innovative device sets the bar for VR experiences. The MSI VR One, which sports a similar design with Zotac's, also went on sale earlier this month. The design for the Zotac VR GO was finalized in October, and now you get one for $1999 on Amazon.
