According to reports, Robert Downey Jr. is set to reprise his role in "Sherlock Holmes 3." With this new update, many wondered if the beloved actor not portray Tony Stark in "Iron Man 4" anymore and prefers to do this movie instead. Marvel and Robert Downey Jr. have yet to comment on this issue.
Meanwhile, GamenGuide has previously reported that if ever "Iron Man 4" will push through, it will not be in the near future. Marvel has revealed in their official website the Phase 3 movie lineup and Robert Downey Jr.'s solo film is nowhere to be found.
The site confirmed that "Ant-Man and the Wasp," and "Black Panther" will debut on 2018 and "Captain Marvel" on 2019. However, there are three movies slated on 2020 which Marvel Studios opted to leave the titles unknown for now.
Many believed that one of those three untitled Marvel Studios films may be "Iron Man 4." If that is indeed the case, then that is three more years of waiting for "Iron Man 4." But just like other rumors regarding the much-awaited fourth installment of Robert Downey Jr.'s Marvel film, this has yet to be verified.
