Jeremy Lin Injury Update: Jeremy Lin Making Progress On Strained Hamstring

Brooklyn Nets starting point guard Jeremy Lin has been out since he strained his left hamstring on Nov. 2 in a game against the Detroit Pistons.  After playing 16 minutes, Jeremy Lin went out of the game and did not return.  According to Jeremy Lin, he "took a long step" in transition and planted on his left foot when he felt a tweak in his hamstring.  The Brooklyn Nets said that Jeremy Lin will be re-evaluated after two weeks.

Two weeks has passed and it's been almost a month since Jeremy Lin strained his hamstring, and still no word yet on Jeremy Lin's injury.  Now the question that everybody's dying to hear an answer is how much longer for Jeremy Lin to return to the floor?

The Brooklyn Nets so far has not yet given any timetable as to when will Jeremy Lin return.  The only update the Brooklyn Nets could give is that Jeremy Lin is progressing well.

According to a report from Laura Albanese from Newsday, Brooklyn Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson said that Jeremy Lin is "progressing aggressively".  When asked on when will Jeremy Lin return, Kenny Atkinson said, "Reply hazy, try again".

Kenny Atkinson also added that the next step for Jeremy Lin is to be able to get back to practice with the team.  But the Brooklyn Nets still can't say when will that be and it all depends on Jeremy Lin's progress.

"I wish I could give you more," Kenny Atkinson said. "He's just working really hard, anxious" to return.

Just last Saturday, Jeremy Lin posted a video on his Facebook account thanking his fans for their continued support and prayers and showing what he's been doing on his rehab.  Jeremy Lin did not however gave any indication on when he will be back.  The Facebook post was Jeremy Lin's first post on his rehab since his injury.

"What up, guys! Thank you for your prayers." Jeremy Lin said.  "I'm hoping to be back out there soon. 24 hour/7 rehab on the hamstring ... right now flushing out the legs, making sure I don't have any soreness tomorrow."

On Monday, Jeremy Lin attended practice.  He was on the court during the open portion of the practice and looked good while contesting a few jumpers.

Jeremy Lin, 28, has missed the last 11 games since straining his hamstring.  Before the injury, Jeremy Lin's been averaging 16.3 points and and 6.5 assists per game this season.
