"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" premiered two weeks ago and the film seems to be just another chapter of the "Harry Potter" series. However, although it has the same magical set as the Potter series, it is really different from the well-loved Potter movies.
Incidentally, just like HP, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will also have sequels. Currently, it was reported that four more stories are in the making.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" was set in the year 1926 and it introduced Newt Scamander who just finished his global expedition in an effort to locate and record a list of supernatural creatures. The film also presented No Maj, a muggle in New York and Queenie and Tina, the magicians.
Some of the magical beasts have escaped from Newt and this is where all the troubles begin in the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." Further, the movie hinted that the next sequel will tell about some "Harry Potter" backstory so it will center on Dumbledore and Grindelwald during their younger days.
According to Fandom, Gellert Grindelwald was one of the darkest and most dangerous wizards of all time. In the next installment of the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," it will show how Grindelwald was enrolled in Durmstrang Institute but was later expelled for using crooked, sinister experiments.
Further, in the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" sequel, Grindelwald will befriend the young Albus Dumbledore. The dark wizard will lead Dumbledore and they will make plans on finding the Deathly Hallows and start a Wizarding revolution to take over the International Statute of Secrecy.
Grindelwald and Dumbledore's friendship fell apart and so is their partnership. In the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" sequel, it was revealed that their falling resulted from the untimely death of Albus' younger sister Ariana Dumbledore.
Meanwhile, Johnny Depp has been confirmed to play the role of Grindelwald in the next "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" movie. On the other hand, the Dumbledore character has not been filled yet and the right actor has yet to be found.
There is one actor that "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" fans want to play as Dumbledore and he is Jared Harris. Interestingly, he is the son of Richard Harris, the actor who played the original Dumbledore in the first two "Harry Potter" movies.
With regards to the call for him to act as the young Dumbledore in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," Harris said in an interview with Standard Online, "They're obviously thinking about it but I haven't heard anything and I don't expect to. It's not up to me."
