The author stated on her lengthy post from her Facebook page about having the theatrical rights of her "Vampire Chronicles," again. "A television series of the highest quality is now my dream for Lestat, Louis, Armand, Marius, and the entire tribe."
In 2014, Imagine Entertainment and Universal had obtained the right of the book series but recently, Rice thought that her stories are better played on TV screens.Rice recalled that after several attempts of putting the series on the big screen with the help of connections like Universal and Imagine Entertainment, it seems like the television is where it belongs.With the help of her son, Christopher Rice as the executive producer, they will create a detailed outline and script while focusing first on the second series, The Vampire Lestat.
