If you're on the back nine of Injustice: Gods Among Us, with only a few ending cinematics left to see, or a few more S.T.A.R. Lab missions left to complete before you finally throw the game on the shelf to gather dust, here's some news to keep your Injustice game going. Even more S.T.A.R. Lab missions are set to hit the game, and if you have the Season Pass, they're all free.
News came by way of a tweet from the game's official Twitter account.
Each DLC character will be getting their 10 of their own missions for the game's STAR Lab mode: Scorpion, Batgirl, Zod, and space biking bounty hunter Lobo. It should be interesting seeing what the undead ninja Scorpion's missions will be like. I envision "Impale 10 Gothamites trying to escape a car fire you cause because you're a specter of hellfire."
If you don't have the Season Pass, the new DLC will cost $1.99. Not each, mind you, $1.99 for all 40 missions. Not bad, really.
The S.T.A.R. Lab missions serve as a good method of breaking up the game's endless arcade mode, teach new tactics, give a more interesting way of trying out a character besides the dull training mode, as well as provide another way of accessing the game's various unlockables.
Nothing was said about Injustice's future DLC character though, Martian Manhunter, likely because he's not included on the game's Season Pass.
An exact release date for the new missions hasn't been given just yet, but we'll let you know when one is mentioned.
There's close to 30 characters that feature in Injustice, and that's just counting the selectable ones, many of whom are some of the standouts from DC Comics: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, a great many Justice League regulars, as well as classic villains like the Joker, Doomsday, Lex Luthor and more.
DLC has added in even more notables from the DC universe to keep fans happy, and given that the same company now in charge of Mortal Kombat, NeatherRealm Studios, developed the game, you can see why Scorpion is in it.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is out now for Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, PC, PlayStation 3, and a free-to-play version is out for various iOS devices.
