If there is one person who would be credible to ask on the future of the “Fallout” and “The Elder Scrolls” franchises, Bethesda director Todd Howard would be it. He is behind the two big game titles and for as long has he can (and wants to), seeing “Fallout 5” or even “The Elder Scrolls 6” is a possibility.
Howard made it clear that he doesn’t intent to stop making sequels, with reference to “Fallout 5” and “The Elder Scrolls 6”, Glixel reported. For now, he can probably pick up the slack though everyone knows that at some point he would have to find someone to pass it over to.
“They’re worlds that we really love. I would be sad if we stopped," Howard shared. "We want to do other things as well, but those are worlds that are part of who I am. We make little games, too, like Fallout Shelter.”
The hitch is that Howard and whoever succeeds him may only do so if both “Fallout” and “The Elder Scrolls” are still high on the list of gamers. In short, as long as interest is in the air, gamers have nothing to worry about as far as getting improvements and new storylines.
From the interview alone, it seemed Howard was still pretty much excited on releasing more sequels which should be a good sign for “Fallout 5” and “The Elder Scrolls 6” hopefuls. That said, both awaited installments may still be under his watch which should be a big sigh of relief for fans who want some form of an assurance, Gaming Bolt reported.
As mentioned in a previous post, the logical date to see a “Fallout 5” or “The Elder Scrolls 6” coming would be in 2020. That may sound a bit far off for the impatient gamers. However, taking note of the added content for “Fallout 4” and the remastered edition of “The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition” should be more than enough to keep most busy for now.
