"Wreck it Ralph 2" is an upcoming 3D computer generated fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Studios and release by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a sequel to "Wreck it Ralph" (2012).The announcement came out when actor John C. Reilly appeared during a Facebook Live Stream alongside directors Phil Johnston and Rich Moore. Reilly joined the project as a co-director. Unfortunately, the Live Stream was cut out just as Reilly is starting to spill the beans.
With that said, there are very little details to be said about the upcoming film "Wreck it Ralph 2" in terms of its plot and story aside from the fact that Ralph will cause chaos within the internet. In a recent interview with film director Rich Moore via Collider, he states that they are heavily considering on changing the film's title from "Wreck It Ralph 2" to possibly "Super Wreck It Ralph."
Perhaps a big reason behind this is that Moore is thinking of the big picture as he indicated that because of the vast size of the internet, the opportunity of special appearances from various characters from different franchises can now be possible. Though a lot of things are still unconfirmed, the only thing that is certain as of this point is the fact that John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman are reprising their roles as Ralph and Venellope respectively.
In the recent updates for "Wreck it Ralph 2," an artwork has depicted Ralph and Venellope seemingly towering over big name companies as reference to major companies such as Google and Amazon to further reinforce the internet story line. Additionally, Disney has announced that its "Disney Cross Road" game is being wrecked by Ralph in a special update to celebrate the announcement.
In conclusion, may it be "Wreck It Ralph 2" or "Super Wreck it Ralph," with the internet as the film's focus, the possibilities for comedy are endless. The film is scheduled to come out on March 9, 2018.
