Fans had been waiting patiently for "The Incredibles 2." After all, the first film that was released back in 2004 ended with a rather fun hint that fans will still see more adventures of the Parr family and yet it has been more than a decade since the superhero family has made an appearance on the big screen. Thankfully, the long wait is over as the sequel is officially in the works over at Pixar Animation Studios.
However, despite the film being in the production, Pixar Animation Studios has not exactly been forthcoming in terms of details with relation to the upcoming film "The Incredibles 2." In a recent interview with Collider, film director and writer Brad Bird states that the conceptualization and script for the film's story line has begun. In fact, Bird says that the script is about three-quarters finished.
In addition to the reports, the writer/director knows that there is a rise of the superhero genre. However, he wants to approach "The Incredibles 2" focusing more on things such as character development and relationships as opposed to the standard formula and see where that could lead them.
On the other hand, there have been different speculations as well as predictions on what to expect for the upcoming film "The Incredibles 2." One of which is the possibility that the youngest member of the Parr family, Jack- Jack, will be the villain. The infant should be a grown up by the time this film returns on the big screen and he will be overwhelmed with his powers leading him into the path of evil.
Another candidate for a possible villain is none other than Frozone. He is a good friend of Mr. Incredible but this time, he wants to be the top hero and will do anything to surpass Mr. Incredible himself. There has been no confirmation from Pixar nor from Brad Bird regarding the validity of these theories.
The voice cast for "The Incredibles 2" has not yet been confirmed nor its definite release date. Cinemablend reports that the film is scheduled to be released in June 2018.
