Cloud Imperium Games' recently revealed its plans to have new content for its space simulation game, "Star Citizen." The game will receive a new patch and a game mode called Star Marine.
Imperial News Network described the first person view in the Star Marine as "tied together" with the character mode. This makes a player of the "Star Citizen" more aware of his surrounding and body placement during the game. This type of view is useful especially when the player is in combat and has to take cover. This would allow the player to have an idea of what body part is exposed by providing a third person view as well.
Another thing that makes the "Star Citizen's" Star Marine different from other game is the "dynamic shift between the standard grounded movement and zero gravity movement", the report described. The smooth transition of being in zero gravity to the ground movement and vice-versa would actually make a more realistic game experience.
Another feature that will be included in the "Star Citizen" Alpha 2.6 update is a new development map, a source explained, and new set of armors, grenades, gadgets, and weapons. An improve system in locating or identifying the other players during multiplayer combat mode can also be expected.
Since this would only be the first part of Star Marine Patch, a lot of changes and bug fixes can occur in the upcoming months. We might also have a glimpse of new "Star Citizen" character and avatars. Currently "Star Citizen" is in Alpha 2.5 version. The updated Alpha 2.6 will allegedly be released on Dec. 8. In the official website of "Star Citizen", the initial launch for Beta will be by the end of 2018, though it might not mean that the game is 100 percent complete by then, because only 60 star systems is expected to be available out of the 110.
