"No Man's Sky" released the Foundation Update on Sunday, bringing in new modes, features and bug fixes! The free update for the space exploration game went live on PlayStation 4 and details about the update are available here.

The Foundation Update for "No Man's Sky" is finally available for download to all users. Polygon reported that the version 1.1 or also known as the Foundation Update introduces three sets of different rules, the ability to build bases, save points and new technology, to name among others. Gamers are also able to save important items such as cargo freighters and a bevy of small items and improvements.
The official website of "No Man's Sky" offered in-depth information on the Foundation Update. The three different game modes that the update featured are as follows: Normal, Creative and Survival. The Normal game mode is the original gameplay experience meanwhile the Creative one promises to deliver unlimited universe and a larger base. Lastly, the Survival mode increases the challenge, testing the explorer's endurance.
More so, "No Man's Sky" players can now build home bases, farm crops. They can also save points at any part of the game. Freighters are now available for purchase, which aliens can supervise. This increases overall storage and capacity as well. The PC version also includes visual improvements and bug fixes.
Hello Games Receives Backlash For ‘No Man’s Sky’
Meanwhile, The Next Web pointed out that these updates should have been included in the game at the very beginning. It should be recalled that Hello Games received backlash right after “No Man’s Sky” was released. Fans were greatly disappointed after game designer Sean Murray promised a series of features that never materialized in the game.
