Good news to global players of the well acclaimed "Resident Evil" series: you can now save and access your data to your personal computer from the Xbox One console. Capcom has confirmed the cross-saving feature to highlight Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere promotion.
'Resident Evil 7' Features Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere Option
In a post by PC Gamer, game enthusiasts can now cross save their "Resident Evil 7" game data files thanks to Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere feature. In a statement to IGN, Capcom established that the Windows Store version of the game can share game data with the Xbox One Version.
The Xbox One Play Anywhere promotion is Microsoft's way of making buyers receive PC and Xbox One versions of game titles in one purchase. Capcom has been specific that only the PC and the Xbox One will have the cross saving feature. Cross-saving is not a widely useful feature if you do not purchase the cross-buy option. Microsoft's promotion also supports games that have multiplayer capabilities.
'Resident Evil 7' Is Heavily Marketed For Sony's PS4
According to IGN, Capcom has marketed the game to Sony's PS4 despite having the game in different console platforms. In Sony's announcement at the E3 conference, all of the VR content for "Resident Evil 7" may remain exclusive to the PS4 for an entire year.
The long running "Resident Evil" series is one of Capcom's biggest sellers, It will not be long until we would be able to venture into the game's new franchise. The game is due to release on January 24, 2017. Capcom expects the game to sell 4 million copies worldwide.
