The avid fans of "Rick And Morty" Season 3 really expected that its return on television would come as a Christmas treat. They were really expectant of the December release but disappointing news were circulating around the internet that the supposed December episodes are not going to happen. What could have been the problem?
Amidst the rumours that the December release is cancelled, the fans were holding on the slightest hope that "Rick And Morty" Season 3's team is trying its best to make it a reality. As previously reported by Gamenguide, the script for the episodes are already done as confirmed by the writers Erica Rosbe and Sarah Carbiener. This made the fans hopeful that everything is just being ironed out for release.
However, University Herald reported that it is indeed true that the script for "Rick And Morty" Season 3 is already done but the thing that has been causing the delay of release lies on the animation process. For the curiosity of the fans to be finally answered, Erica Rosbe spoke in behalf of the team of "Rick And Morty" Season 3 and admittedly said that the animation process is taking a while and in her words, it is a "slow" process for the animation
To explain this, Erica Rosbe expounded on the technique being used by the creators of "Rick And Morty" Season 3. It turned out that it is adapting an unconventional technique in its animation cycle. This means that the animators of "Rick And Morty" Season 3 is working around primarily ad-libbed dialogue. They call the technique as "retroscripting."
At this time of waiting, the fans of "Rick And Morty" Season 3 can rest in the thought that the animators are just doing nothing less than excellent episodes for them to watch later on. It may be taking a while but it will surely be a wait worth it for "Rick And Morty" Season 3 fans!
