“Red Dead Redemption” is the story of an outlaw who just wished to leave everything behind and live a normal life. His wish remained true until one day, he was forced into a life of violence once again.
This was the beginning of an adventure filled with shooting and adrenalin, and gave players an emotion filled ending giving it a place among the best western stories ever shared. Now the second game is on the way and is it worth it? Will it hold up to the heritage of the first one?
First signs of a possible sequel to the game were given by Gamespot, who shared a picture which seemed like leaked “Red Dead Redemption 2” content. It revealed a map of the coming game.
On it were visible the Great Plains where Blackwater is located.
Together with the old land, there is a group of island around, which means that players will have some method of accessing them. Whether it will happen with a boat or different method it was still unknown.
When asked about a possible sequel, Take-Two Interactive said that now the game is a successful property much like the “Grant Theft Auto” series, which made a sequel inevitable.
Another big rumor surrounding the big release was shared by IGN. Together with the map, they discuss the possibility of the game being a prequel to the original. Will fans be able to see the first days of John Marston back when he was still an outlaw? Another interesting addition to these news is that not only Blackwater city is featured on the map, but also New Bordeaux which is the city in which “Mafia 3” takes place. For now, it is considered nothing more than an interesting Easter egg, but it is possible for it to turn into something more.
In recent days, the biggest development around the project was shared by Trusted Reviews. According to a trailer shared by them, the game is expected to come fall 2017, but now everyone knows this to be untrue, since in the end of November, there is still only a pre-order option on Rockstar’s site and no official release date.
The new features in the game will include a broader, wider world. Seven playable character all of which will play major roles in the story’s development. There will also be a multiplayer component available.
“Red Dead Redemption 2” will be released for PS4 and XBOX ONE.
