Mass Effect: Andromeda, Bioware's upcoming game promises to be their biggest game yet. Producer Mike Gable has already called it their "biggest game yet." Previous Mass Effect games were already big, spanning galaxies but Bioware plans to surpass it with Mass Effect: Andromeda. To make an already huge game bigger, Bioware has decided to add more content and activities in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Here are some of the activities, players can participate in Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Loyatly Missions which were introduced in Mass Effect are now back. These narrative driven missions focus on the back stories of your crew fleshing them out. These missions are optional and do not contribute to the main plot of the game and progress the game. But these missions improve the player's relationships with their crew improving their combat abilities.
Mass Effect provides some exploration but are limited to a small area. Exploring planets are limited to these hubs and do not give a full sense of scale. However, Mass Effect: Andromeda will now feature planets that players can full navigate. Player can navigate planets through the Nomad which is similar to Mass Effect 1' Mako. The Nomad is used to explore the vast planets of Mass Effect: Andromeda and also provide protection from the environmental hazards of a planet.
When exploring a planet in Mass Effect: Andromeda, tracking down Drop Zones will help players chart a course. These Drop Zones contains information that reveals all point of interest on the map to guide players in their exploration. Drop Zones also function as a fast-travel point to quickly jump from one point of the map to the next.
Besides environmental hazards, enemies can be a source of danger for players exploring the planets of Mass Effect: Andromeda. Enemies can be stationed in large bases that players can choose to attack for items that can help them in the game. Enemy bases are large and players should be prepared when planning to attack.
In terms of combat, Mass Effect: Andromeda offers something different from previous games. In the past, combat is usually pre determined and scripted. But for Mass Effect: Andromeda, there combat scenarios that aren't scripted. Creatures will be roaming the planets and players have the option of attacking and ignoring them. Planets also have their own super boss, large creatures that takes a strong team to take out. In some cases, players can encounter two factions fighting wherein the player has the option to join the battle and reap the items.
Mass Effect: Andromeda looks to be a bigger game than the past games. But bigger doesn't always mean better. With the disappointment of Mass Effect 3, Mass Effect: Andromeda has the golden opportunity to make up for their past mistake.
