Huawei is this year's most profitable Android smartphone in the world beating Samsung. But nothing beats Apple getting the number one spot on the list.
Apple is indeed the most loved brand when it comes to mobile and technology. It remains as the top smartphone maker in the world according to market research firm Strategy Analytics. In the report of The USB Port, Apple, Inc. was able to register an $8.5 billion profits during the third quarter which is equivalent to the 91% profit share of the smartphone market.
In the article released by Strategy Analytics, the smartphone industry was able to get a global profit of $9.4 billion by the end of third quarter this year. Linda Sui, Director, said in a statement, "Apple dominated and captured a record 91 percent share of all smartphone profits worldwide. Apple's ability to maximize pricing and minimize production cost is hugely impressive and the iPhone continues to generate monster profits. Huawei, Vivo, and OPPO are the next three most profitable smartphone vendors globally this quarter, but they are still a long way behind Apple."
Second on the list is Huawei Technologies getting the 2.4% share of the smartphone's operating profits with $225 million earnings worldwide. The Shenzhen-based company was able to beat Samsung Electronics who did not even make it to the top 4.
Executive Director Neil Mawston said that Huawei captured the second most profitable smartphone brand in the world with 2.4% share of the total profits. Hence, becoming the world's most profitable Android supplier for the first time ever. He even added that some of the factors the affect Huawei's profitability include the efficient supply chain, effective marketing strategies, and sleek products.
Vivo and OPPO brands followed the third and fourth spot and both of the Chinese companies registered a 2% global share with approximately $200 million earnings worldwide.
