Following a decline in its player base, "Pokémon GO" recently launched a major update that will give players a big reason to pick up the game again. The hit handheld game added Ditto in its Pokémon list and fans couldn't be more excited. Is it Niantic's way of saving the game from its downfall? Will other Legendaries come out soon too?
After months of waiting, "Pokémon GO" finally added a new Pokémon for trainers to catch in the game. Players can now catch the amorphous blob Ditto which is known for its ability to transform into any other Pokémon using its trademark move "mimic."
However, some might find it a challenge to catch Ditto. According to reports, the rare Pokémon will not be visible on the world map of "Pokémon GO." Ditto is said to be hiding in plain sight and disguised as another type of Pokémon. There were claims that players caught one in the form of Ratatta or Pidgey.
With Ditto now on the game, fans have been anticipating as to what the game will put on the table next. Many speculate that other "Pokémon GO" Legendaries will also make their appearance soon. It can be noted that the only Pokémon missing from Gen 1 are Mew, Mewtwo, Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres.
On the other hand, some speculate that "Pokémon GO" has something bigger in store for its players. Rumors are rife that Niantic will also introduce Gen 2 Pokémon by the end of the year. Allegedly, there will be 100 new second gen Pokémon coming soon. This includes legendaries like Ho-Oh, Lugia, Entei, Raikou, Suicine and Celebi. However, there has been no confirmation about this speculation yet.
With all the recent updates in "Pokémon GO," the game, which already experienced a huge decline over the past few months, might be saved from going downhill. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Pokemon GO" news and updates!
