Apple's toughest competitor Samsung will release a new and improved Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in glossy black to compete with that of iPhone 7.
The news first came out from The Investor, a Korean media who reported that Samsung will launch a new glossy black version of Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. Just last November, the Korean company has also issued a Coral Blue version of the smartphone and was able to beat iPhone 7's sales. According to them, Samsung's Coral Blue is selling an average of 15,000 units daily.
In addition to this, Samsung has already revealed the images of the new color of Galaxy S7 and S7 edge through their official Chinese Weibo account published by Sam Mobile.
As seen in the leaked images, the smartphone is a high-gloss piano black finish which is closely similar to that of iPhone 7. The new variety bears a resemblance to the old Samsung Galaxy S7 in a darker version of the standard black onyx.
There was no confirmation yet whether the glossy black edition of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will be distributed permanently worldwide or just a limited edition. According to Gizbot, the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 in glossy black edge will feature a 128G storage capacity and is expected to be released this coming December.
Meanwhile, Express reports that Samsung is also looking to adapting Apple iPhone's 3D touch or pressure-sensitive feature. This may enable easy access to on favorite apps just by applying pressure on the screen.
Moreover, Samsung has plans of incorporating a new voice assistant Viv to its succeeding series of smartphones. Viv is a talkative assistant that handled a slew of complex user requests and was able to answer follow-up questions that amazed its audiences. Will this be the answer to Samsung's huge lost profits this year due to Note 7's exploding issues?
