Everyone is anticipating the release of the 3rd season of "Rick and Morty" on December 2016 and due to the hype, this could be the most beloved modern day animated cartoon of the recent years because of its unique genre. As for what's new this season, aside from the speculations about Mr. Meeseeks returning, it is also theorized that Morty will be helping Rick get out of the prison.
According to Newseveryday, the third season of "Rick and Morty" will revolve around Rick's imprisonment at the Galactic Federation. Rick will have the chance to escape through Evil Morty Smith's help. Ricky's wife, Mrs. Sanchez, will also help him escape the galactic prison to be able to go back to earth where her family resides.
Are there changes to be expected for the 3rd season?
"Rick and Morty" is said to have undergone only minor and cosmetic changes. Co-creator Dan Harmon used an episode as an example wherein an alien gets "his brain blownout," where they had to change the brain to green instead of making it pink in order to avoid insinuations to 'real brains'.
However, the main concern was not just about the violence seen by the audience in "Rick and Morty" but 'the shit and sex stuff' said Justin Roiland, Rick's voice talent. "The shit and the sex stuff. That tends to be the thing they put their foot down on. Violence seems to be less and less an issue. Obviously, gratuitous violence can be a problem but the sex stuff is real touchy." according to the previous source.
According to Roiland, the episode in "Rick and Morty" wherein Morty convinces Rick to purchase him a 'sex robot' is one of the episodes in which they had second thoughts pushing through. But according to Harmon, nothing explicit was shown and the sex robot was only featured minimally and was said to be only a plot device to communicate further the episode's narrative.
