NeatherRealms is offering up a better, closer look at the newest DLC character, coming to Injustice: Gods Among Us later this summer, in a new gameplay trailer: the Kryptonian menace, General Zod.
Hailing from the same planet as Superman, General Zod has all the powers and strengths of 'ol Kal-El; ice breath, super strength, speed, flight, etc., which put him on an equal footing with the Man of Steel. But while Supes pulls his punches most of the time to keep from liquifying people, Zod holds nothing back. As a military man, he boasts interesting alien sidearms, and no hesitation to use 'em. He's also brought over some fearsome characters from his stay in the Phantom Zone to assist him in battle.
This, coupled with a beard that he's obviously put a great deal of effort into, make Zod an intriguing character to say the least, and you could see where the dictatorial version of Superman could've taken inspiration. When you think about it, he'd probably get along quite well with Zod if the both of them weren't so power hungry.
Gamers got their first peek at Zod during one of Conan O'Brien's recent "Clueless Gamer" bits, but this new trailer offers up a much better look.
Since the game's latest DLC character is also the villain of the Superman summer blockbuster, "Man of Steel," NeatherRealms figured what the hell, and threw in a movie themed skin for Supes as well, also seen in the new trailer. Gamers can grab the new skin for 80 MS Points on Xbox 360, or $2.99 on PSN. As for Zod, he'll be available for download on July 2nd for 400 MS Points, or $4.99.
