Bletchley Park to House a College That Will Teach Cyber Skills to Youngsters Who Can Combat Security Threat

Bletchley Park's first operatives were known to have cracked coded messages that are encrypted by the Nazis, which sped up the end of World War II. For this reason, a new school is planned for the next generation of codebreakers to fight a fast and the biggest security threat to 21st-century Britain.

The College of National Security in the United Kingdom is set to open in a specially customized location on the Bletchley Park site. The Guardian reports that the sixth-form boarding school will be available to the 500-odd applicants with a projected capital, funds from corporate sponsors and state funding that support the multimillion-pound expenses.

Alastair MacWillson, the chair of Qufaro, a not-for-profit organisation that was created by a consortium of cybersecurity experts for educational purposes, said that a few of the United Kingdom's most gifted 16 to 19-year-olds will learn cyber abilities that the College of National Security will be teaching. The school will choose based on talent alone to find certain extraordinary problem solvers and logic wizards regardless of the youngsters' wealth or family background.

"The cyber threat is the real threat facing the UK, and the problem it's causing the UK government and companies is growing exponentially," MacWillson said. He also added that there is a shortage of the professional assets, which is about 700,000 cybersecurity experts to fight the security threat that will get worse if there is no program to get hold with it and the College of National Security will champion the battle against security threats.

The College of National Security will be offering a curriculum, which balances cybersecurity tuition of about 40 percent including relate subjects such as math, physics and computer science for a three-year period. MacWillson also said that the college is open to anyone as long as they can prove they have the natural skills to solve logical issues.

The College of National Security that will open at Bletchley Park site will be boarding anyone who is interested to guarantee the attendance of those who live far from Southeast. Additionally, these people who will be attending the school must see themselves with inspiration and share the same goal.
