OnePlus 3T is said to pack more power, a larger battery, a new color option and several camera tweaks from the original OnePlus 3. However, the OnePlus 3T features are said to be minor changes. The OnePlus 3T is also expected to be more expensive than its predecessor making it more comparable to the Samsung Galaxy S7 now.
In terms of design, both the OnePlus 3T and the Galaxy S7 is said to be comparable. The OnePlus 3 features a smooth and less distinctive metal backing that now comes in a darker Gunmetal grey option as well. On the other hand, the Galaxy S7's rear sports a smudge-friendly glass.
The S7 sports a 5.1 inch Quad HD OLED screen with 2560x1440 display. By comparison, the OnePlus 3T has a bigger 5.5 inch 1080p OLED screen with 1920x1080 display. Moreover, in terms of the camera, the S7 is said to have the upper hand with a 12MP sensor with more contrast and depth than the 16MP camera on the OnePlus 3T that reportedly looks over processed.
Performance-wise, The OnePlus 3T sports the Snapdragon 821 with GB RAM. The Galaxy S7 sports the Exynos 8890 with 4GB RAM. The OnePlus 3T is expected to perform 10 percent faster than its predecessor with a faster RAM. The OnePlus 3T packs a 3,400mAh battery while the S7 includes a 3,000mAh battery, Stuff TV reported.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus 3 users reportedly feel betrayed by the release of the OnePlus 3T. Apparently, the latter rolled out with small-scale upgrades half-a-year after the handset was launched, TechCrunch reported. Moreover, OnePlus 3T users also get OS updates first.
OnePlus 3T also added the darker silver option while a lighter one is still available. The soft gold option is also available on the OnePlus 3T. The updated handset also came with the Alert Slider that quickly toggles between mute and ringing. The OnePlus 3T is also said to improve low light shots.
